Oregon Saves

All Oregon employers with at least one employee are subject to the program and must register online with the Board.  Any employer that sponsors a qualified retirement plan can claim an exemption for the program, but must go online to do so.  This program began in July 2017 for companies that employ >100 People. 

Deadlines to Register

  • May 15, 2018 – Employers with 50-99 employees
  • Dec 15, 2018 – Employers with 20-49 employees
  • May 15, 2019 – Employers with 10-19 employees
  • Nov 15, 2019 – Employers with 5-9 employees
  • May 15, 2020 – Employers with 0-4 employees

A qualified employee must be at least 18 years of age and been employed by the employer at least 60 days.  Employers must withhold 5% of each eligible employee’s wages, unless the employee elects to withhold a different amount (including zero).
